Professional Access Point Installation — Per AP
This service SKU covers professional installation of one access point by the Rivas Technology Group install team — wire pull, network configuration, testing, and homeowner handoff included. Add one per access point to your order when purchasing any AP from our networking collection.
Every AP we install is configured by the same team that programs your Control4 system and commissions your Ajax security — not a subcontractor, not a third party. When the job is done, your network is tested, documented, and handed off so you know exactly how it works.
What's Included
Service Scope — Per Access Point
Cat5e or Cat6 run from your network closet or switch location to the AP mounting point. We route cable cleanly through walls, ceilings, or conduit as required by the installation environment — new construction and finished retrofit both accommodated.
AP mounted to ceiling tile, T-bar, drywall, or wall surface per manufacturer spec. Cable terminated and connected. PoE verified at the port before AP is powered on.
AP added to your network, SSID assigned, VLAN configured as required, and cloud management enabled. If integrating with a Control4 system or Ajax security network, the AP is placed on the correct network segment to ensure proper device communication and isolation.
Coverage verified at the install location. Throughput tested, roaming behavior confirmed with adjacent APs, and PoE budget checked against switch capacity. Any configuration issues resolved before we leave.
We walk you through what was installed, where it is, how it's configured, and how to connect devices. You'll leave knowing your network password structure, how guest access works, and who to call if anything changes.
Add One Per Access Point
This SKU covers a single AP installation. If your project includes multiple access points, add one unit of this service for each AP in your order. For example, a 3-AP install would include 3× AP hardware + 3× this service SKU. Not sure how many APs your space needs? Contact us for a coverage assessment before ordering.
Scheduling & Service Area
Installation is performed by our team and is available within our standard service area in the greater Seattle area. After purchase, we'll contact you to schedule your installation date. For large multi-AP projects or new construction timelines, contact us before ordering so we can coordinate accordingly.
Not sure how many APs you need? We can assess your space, recommend coverage points, and quote the full project before you order anything.
