Why Ajax
Systems?
Not all security systems are created equal. Here's why we built everything around Ajax — and why it matters for your home.
The Problem With Most Home Security Systems
Most consumer security systems are designed to be affordable and easy to market. That means compromises — on signal reliability, on encryption, on what happens when someone actually tries to defeat them.
A determined intruder doesn't ring the doorbell. They look for weaknesses. Most consumer systems have plenty of them.
Ajax Systems was built with a different question: what would a security system look like if defeating it was nearly impossible?
What Sets Ajax Apart
8 Reasons Ajax Outperforms
Everything Else
The Jeweller Protocol — Built to Be Unjammable
Most wireless systems communicate on a single radio frequency. Jam that frequency, and the system goes silent — the alarm never sounds. Ajax's proprietary Jeweller radio protocol operates across multiple frequencies simultaneously. If an intruder attempts to jam one, the system hops to another instantly while simultaneously alerting you and your monitoring station that a jamming attempt is underway. The attack itself becomes the alarm. Jeweller delivers alerts in under 0.15 seconds with a range of up to 6,550 feet between devices.
Military-Grade Encryption
Every transmission — detector to hub, hub to cloud, cloud to your phone — uses AES block cipher encryption with a dynamic floating key that changes with every single transmission. Brute-force attacks are functionally impossible. Each device carries a unique identifier that prevents signal forgery. Your system cannot be spoofed, faked, or cloned.
Visual Verification — Real Evidence, Real Response
Washington State requires verified response before law enforcement will dispatch to a security alarm. Standard motion detectors cannot provide this. Ajax's MotionCam PhOD detectors capture a series of photos the moment motion is detected and transmit them to your monitoring station and phone in under 9 seconds — even on an unstable signal. Operators see exactly what triggered the alarm before calling for dispatch. Faster police response. Fewer false alarms. Real evidence when it matters most. Our Foundation Kit is built specifically around this technology.
Dual-Path Communication — No Single Point of Failure
Ajax hubs communicate via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE simultaneously. Internet down? Switches to cellular. Phone line cut? Switches to another channel. The hub polls all connected devices every 12 seconds — if any device stops responding, you are notified immediately. There is no single wire to cut. No single signal to block.
Up to 7-Year Battery Life
Ajax devices run on batteries — not your home's power supply. The Jeweller protocol was engineered specifically for energy efficiency, extending detector battery life to up to 7 years. When a battery reaches a critical level, the system alerts you automatically. You are never left unprotected by a dead battery you didn't know about.
OS Malevich — A Real-Time Operating System Built for Security
Ajax hubs run on OS Malevich, a proprietary real-time operating system developed exclusively for Ajax hardware. It is immune to viruses, resistant to cyberattacks, and receives automatic over-the-air firmware updates several times per year. Your system gets stronger over time without any effort on your part.
Tamper Protection at Every Level
Every Ajax device is equipped with a tamper sensor. If anyone attempts to remove, cover, or physically interfere with a detector, hub, siren, or keypad — the system immediately alerts you and your monitoring station. Outdoor sirens include a built-in accelerometer that detects dismantling attempts. Even opening the hub enclosure triggers an alert.
European Engineering & Grade 3 Certifications
Ajax Systems products are designed and certified to European standards — among the most rigorous in the world. Ajax devices comply with EN 50131 Grade 2 and Grade 3 — the standard for professional-grade intrusion systems rated to protect against skilled, well-equipped intruders. These are the same standards used for commercial and high-security residential applications worldwide.

Our Standard
Why Rivas Technology Group
Chose Ajax
We protect Washington homes. That means we answer to Washington's verified response requirements, to our clients' trust, and to the reality that security systems need to work when everything else is going wrong.
"When we evaluated security platforms, we weren't looking for the easiest product to sell. We were looking for the product we would install in our own home. Ajax Systems was the only platform that met every standard we set — for technology, for reliability, and for the level of protection our clients deserve."
Every kit we sell is pre-configured by our team. Every system we install is set up by a certified technician. And every client gets a system that is genuinely difficult to defeat.
That's the Rivas standard. Ajax makes it possible.
