Everywhere Else — $0/mo
Outside Washington your system is self-monitored through the Ajax app. Alarms, arming, disarming, and full device control, with no subscription and no monthly fee. The hardware is identical. You simply own it and run it yourself.

Installation — From $390
Most systems are self-installed in about an hour. If you would rather we handle it, professional installation starts at $390 across the South Sound and Greater Seattle. Our primary service area is within 20 miles of Kent — beyond that a mobilization fee applies: $150 for 20–35 miles, $250 for 35–50 miles, and 50+ miles quoted individually. How much is ADT per month?
Per ADT's published terms, professionally installed monitoring starts at $34.99 per month on a 36-month contract, and ADT states it has the right to increase the annual service charge at any time after the first year. Over 36 months at the starting rate that is $1,259.64.
What is ADT's cancellation fee?
ADT's published terms state that upon early termination of a 36-month monitoring contract, ADT may charge 75 percent of the monthly service charges due for the balance of the initial contract term.
How long is an ADT contract?
36 months in most states, 24 months in California, per ADT's published terms. The contract automatically renews for successive terms unless terminated with 30 days notice.
Can I get home security with no contract?
Yes. We sell Ajax systems outright at a published price — $899, $1,299, or $1,699. There is no contract, no financing, and no term. Monitoring, if you want it, is month-to-month.
What if I buy it and don't like it?
Send it back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, including the $195 pre-configuration fee. Installed, mounted, armed, used — it does not matter. We pay return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and we release the hub from your Ajax account ourselves so you do not have to. Every kit is configured by hand at our Kent facility, and if it comes back our own technicians reconfigure it. That is why we can take it back installed.
Do I have to pay monthly for a home security system?
Not with us. Outside Washington, your Ajax system is self-monitored through the app with no subscription at all. In Washington, professional monitoring is available at $44.99 per month if you want a UL-listed central station verifying alarms and dispatching — but it is entirely optional.
Do I own the equipment?
Yes, from the day it arrives. This is the difference that matters most. Under the contract model the equipment is financed through your monthly fee and returned if you leave early. Ours is bought and paid for once. You get 30 days to decide it is not for you — and after that, we never ask for it back. If you stop monitoring, you keep every piece of it.
Is this the same grade of hardware the pros install?
Yes. Ajax is professional-grade equipment — the same tier of wireless hardware specified on designed, professionally installed systems. The difference is not the hardware. It is that we sell it to you instead of renting it to you.
