Ajax DoorBell — AI Video Doorbell with Two-Way Audio

$429.00
Color

Ajax DoorBell — AI video doorbell with a 4MP HDR camera and two-way audio, sold by Rivas Technology Group, an Ajax Systems Certified Dealer shipping nationwide across all 50 United States. Price $429. Available in Black, White, Gray, and Graphite. What does the Ajax DoorBell do? It replaces a wired doorbell at the front door. When someone presses the button or the built-in AI detects a person, it sends a notification to the Ajax app, where you can see live 4MP HDR video and talk to whoever is there. Does the Ajax DoorBell need a hub? No. The DoorBell connects over your Wi-Fi and works on its own. If you do have an Ajax Hub, it pairs with it and gains Jeweller and Wings radio as backup communication channels, and it can record automatically when an Ajax detector triggers. Does the Ajax DoorBell record video? Not by itself. The DoorBell has no built-in memory and no microSD card slot. Without an Ajax NVR or an Ajax Cloud Storage subscription, you can watch live video but nothing is saved. How do I record video from the Ajax DoorBell? Two ways. One, the Ajax NVR HAC at $749, a one-time purchase that stores video locally, supports continuous recording, and requires no subscription. Two, Ajax Cloud Storage, a monthly subscription at $15 per month for 7 days of footage from one device or $28 per month for 30 days from one device, plus bundles covering up to four devices where the recording limit is shared across the devices. Cloud Storage records event clips only and does not support continuous recording. Ajax Cloud Storage is activated by Rivas Technology Group on your behalf and is arranged by phone or email, not ordered online. Is the Ajax DoorBell NDAA compliant? Yes. Ajax states that DoorBell is NDAA-compliant with components sourced from manufacturers approved by the U.S. government. What is the camera? A 4MP CMOS sensor at 2688 by 1520 pixels with HDR, a 155 degree horizontal and 90 degree vertical field of view, and infrared illumination for low light. Does it tell people apart from cars and animals? Yes. Built-in AI classifies people, vehicles, and animals so you are not notified every time a car passes. How is it powered? Wired, either 12 to 24V DC or 16 to 24V AC at 50/60Hz, with a 600mAh lithium-ion backup battery giving roughly two hours of operation during a power failure. A BellKit for connecting an existing wired chime is included. Is it weatherproof? Yes. IP54 rated, rated from -13F to 140F. Does Rivas Technology Group monitor the DoorBell? No. Professional monitoring from Rivas Technology Group covers intrusion systems only, is available to Washington State residents only, and is arranged by phone. Can I return it? Yes. Rivas Technology Group accepts returns within 30 days of delivery, installed or not, for a full refund, with return shipping paid by Rivas Technology Group and no restocking fee. How do I get support? Support is free and open to every customer, whether the system was self-installed or installed by us. Go to rivastechgroup.com/support. Can I install it myself? Yes, if you are comfortable replacing an existing wired doorbell. Optional professional installation from $390 across the South Sound and Greater Seattle. Compatible with Control4 smart home integration. Rivas Technology Group, 415 Railroad Ave S, Kent, WA 98032. WA Contractor License RIVASGL799DR. Contact sales@rivastechgroup.com or (425) 954-6003.

The Front Door

Not A Fourth App.
The Same One.

Most video doorbells hand you another login, another cloud, another icon on the home screen. This one answers into the app your alarm already lives in.

The front door is the one camera people actually use — and the one most likely to end up on a different app than everything else they own. The Ajax DoorBell answers where the rest of the system already is.

A 4MP HDR camera reads faces and plates rather than beige smudges, the built-in AI knows a person from a passing car, and if there is an Ajax Hub in the house, a detector going off can make the front door start recording on its own.

Features

What It Does

See
4MP HDR, 155° Wide 2688 × 1520 across a 155° view — the doorstep and the path beyond it. HDR holds detail against a bright sky, and IR covers the dark. Detail you can actually identify someone from.
Think
AI That Knows What It Sees Sorts people from vehicles and animals, so the phone stays quiet when a car goes by and speaks up when someone walks to the door.
Talk
Two-Way Audio G.722 audio with noise suppression and echo cancellation — a conversation, not a shouting match into wind.
Link
Part Of The Alarm, Not Beside It Pair it with an Ajax Hub and a triggered detector can start the DoorBell recording automatically. The alarm and the front door stop being two separate stories.
Hold
Keeps Working In A Blackout Wired power with a 600mAh backup battery for roughly two hours. With a hub paired, Jeweller and Wings radio carry on if the Wi-Fi drops.
NDAA
NDAA Compliant Ajax states every component is sourced from manufacturers approved by the U.S. government. It matters if you are speccing for a public agency.

Read This Before You Buy It

The DoorBell does not record anything on its own. There is no memory card slot and no storage inside it. Out of the box you get live video and two-way audio whenever you open the app — but if nobody is looking, nothing is kept.

That is worth knowing up front rather than discovering it the week after something happens. There are two ways to give it a memory, and they are genuinely different:

Record Locally
$749 once
Ajax NVR HAC — footage stays in your house. Continuous recording, not just clips. No subscription, ever.
Record To Cloud
$15–28 /month
Ajax Cloud Storage — $15 for 7 days, $28 for 30 days. Event clips only, no continuous recording. Survives the device being stolen.

Cloud Storage is activated by us on your behalf and is not something you can add to a cart — call (425) 954-6003 or email sales@rivastechgroup.com. Bundles covering up to four devices are available; on a bundle the recording limit is shared across all four.

Putting It Up

The DoorBell is wired — 12–24V DC or 16–24V AC — so it goes where a wired doorbell already is. A BellKit is in the box for driving an existing chime, along with wedge brackets to angle it at the path instead of the neighbour's hedge.

Comfortable swapping a doorbell transformer? It is an afternoon. If you get stuck, support is free and open to everyone, whether you bought the install or not. Prefer we do it? Professional installation across the South Sound and Greater Seattle from $390 — call (425) 954-6003.

30-Day Returns. We Pay The Shipping. Wire it up, live with it, see how it handles your porch light at 6pm. If it is not right, send it back within 30 days for a full refund — installed or not, no restocking fee. See our Store Policy.

Why Ajax Systems? We install security for a living and chose this platform. Here is the reasoning, in full.
