WiFi 7 · Tri-Band

Four Radios On 5 GHz.
A 10 Gig Port.

The flagship indoor access point in the Alta Labs line — WiFi 7, tri-band, 4x4 MIMO on 5 GHz, and 500+ concurrent clients without breaking a sweat.

The AP7-Pro is Alta Labs' WiFi 7 flagship, and the jump from the WiFi 6 line is not incremental. It's tri-band — 2x2 MIMO on 2.4 GHz and 6 GHz, and 4x4 MIMO on 5 GHz where most of your devices actually live — with an aggregate WiFi rate up to 15 Gbps and a 10 Gbps Ethernet port so the wired side isn't the bottleneck.

It handles 500+ concurrent clients and 48 SSIDs across radios, which is dense-deployment territory: offices, restaurants, event spaces, and large homes with a hundred connected things.

Two Honest Constraints

This Is An Indoor Access Point

The AP7-Pro carries no weatherproofing rating. It mounts to wall, ceiling, drop-ceiling, or sits on a table — inside. For covered exterior areas or true outdoor coverage, the weatherproof A6 Outdoors is the right call.

The 10 Gbps Port Needs PoE++ To Reach 10 Gbps

Straight from the spec sheet: PoE+ powers it to 2.5 Gbps; PoE++ is required for the full 10 Gbps. You also need a switch port that can actually pass 10 Gbps. On a standard PoE+ gigabit switch this access point works beautifully — it just won't hit its headline number.

That is not a knock on the hardware. It means the AP7-Pro has room to grow into infrastructure you may not have yet. Tell us what switch you're running and we'll tell you exactly what speed you'll see — no surprises after the box is open.

Software

What You Get Beyond The Radio

AltaPass Multi-Password Technology

Alta Labs' patented approach (USPTO 12047240) lets clients join the same SSID with different passwords — each password carrying its own access level, VLAN, and rate limit. Standard, Large, IoT, Internet-only, and Guest profiles are predefined.

One caveat worth knowing: password-based assignment isn't currently supported on 6 GHz because WPA3 permits a single key per SSID. Per-MAC assignment does work on 6 GHz.

Built-In DPI & Content Filtering

Deep packet inspection runs in the access point — no extra appliance to buy. Block applications, application categories, or specific domains from the management interface, with password and per-device exceptions.

Mesh, Vouchers, And Zero Wait DFS

Mesh works on 5 GHz and 6 GHz to reach spaces without a cable run. Guest vouchers issue as scannable QR codes with time and bandwidth limits. Configuration changes and RF scans happen without rebooting the network.

Rivas Assurance — 5-Year Coverage. Alta Labs equipment purchased from Rivas Technology Group carries the manufacturer's warranty plus three additional years backed by us, for five years total. On interior runs like this one, no additional surge device is required. Coverage is parts, by advance exchange, with equivalent-or-better substitution if a model is discontinued; surge and lightning damage is excluded, as it is under every manufacturer warranty.
